Here you'll get a little walk through from purchasing class with us to your final day and getting your certification. Once you purchase class we'll issue each student their own E-learning code to begin online lessons, this goes at each individuals own pace and you can login and continue where you left off any time. This E-learning is also yours for life, you can login and refresh yourself 10 years from now if you wanted to. Below are the steps you'll go through after picking one of our many class dates and completing the E-learning.
Here you'll fill out folders, get fitted for gear and cover important information from the E-learning as well as from our experienced Instructors.
At this stage you'll go over all the necessary skills associated with SCUBA diving and your instructor will demonstrate and have you repeat in pool. They will also let you swim around the pool and get comfortable with breathing underwater.
Checkout dives will consist of two separate days. Your first day is usually at Lake Denton in Avon Park (controlled environment). Here you will demonstrate mastery of the skills learned in the pool from your Instructors. We will usually end our day here with an underwater tour of Lake Denton and uncover some of the mysteries it holds.
Our final two checkout dives will depend on the weather. We partner with several Charters to give our students the opportunity to gain valuable experience diving off a Charter. However, weather does not always cooperate and we may have to dive one of the many beautiful springs throughout Florida. Your Instructor should have an idea of where you'll be doing your final dives a few days before hand.
All your hard work has paid off and you will receive a digital certification card on your NAUI app (may have to logout and log back in to see). Now you can discuss with your Instructor or store staff the next steps to becoming a more experienced diver and what you can do to help preserve our oceans!
